When 3G becomes outdated
Sir: The Supreme Court (SC) has directed the government to ensure the appointment of the chairman and members of Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) within 10 days, and has ordered that the new PTA chief give a schedule for the 3G Spectrum bidding on the next date of hearing. When the world has already moved towards 4G networks, why go for 3G Spectrum bidding? By the time mobile companies will install 3G equipment, the installed technology will be outdated and on its way out.
