Two women killed – Karo-kari
SUKKUR, February 23, 2005: Two women were killed on the pretext of karo-kari in two separate incidents in Ghotki and Shikarpur districts on Monday night. In Ghotki’s Pathan Mahar village near Khanpur Mahar, one Achar Mahar allegedly shot dead his stepmother Nadeeman, wife of Qabil Mahar.
Police handed over the body to relatives after post-mortem. Some unidentified people strangled a woman, Jejan, wife of Hakim Ali Rind, in the Peroz Khan Rind village, Humayoon police station jurisdiction, near Shikarpur. Hakim Ali lodged a case with the Humayoon police.
