Journalists acquitted
KHIARPUR,February 23,2005:The Judicial Magistrate of Sobhodero, Ghulam Shabbir Soomro, in a defamation/damage suit, acquitted three journalists of Khairpur, namely, Qurban Gilal, Liaquat Ali Jakhar and Idrees Abbas.
A constable, Abdul Qadir Drigh, had filed a suit of defamation against the above-named journalists seven months ago. During the proceeding, the complainant could not prove the charges, so the court acquitted them.
