Three Killed over Karo Kari
SUKKUR, June 14 2006: Two women and a man were killed by armed persons on pretexts of Karo-Kari in separate incidents on June 12 Night and June 13. According to reports, one Abdul Haq Umrani suspected that his mother, Hawwa, had illicit relations with his relative Muhammad Umrani, He first gunned down his mother, and later shot dead Umrani late on June 12 night in the precincts of Garhi Khairo police station.
In another incident a married women was shot dead on June 13 in village Imdad Pahore within the jurisdiction of Thull police station. Sixteen year-old Husna, wife of Abdul Qadir Pahore, was shot dead by armed persons on the pretext of Karo-Kari. Ghulam Shabbir Pahore, brother of the deceased women, registered a case against Bhangar Pahore and Arbab Pahore, but no arrests were reported till the filling of this report.
