Ten Sports cameraman declared persona non grata
David Dries Van, cameraman of Ten Sports was declared persona non grata and deported from Pakistan for his indecent behaviour with staff of a hotel in Multan. He was in the city to cover India and Pakistan cricket test match series.
According to press reports, David Dries Van twice misbehaved and tried to molest a female receptionist. She resisted his unacceptable behaviour and informed the hotel management which brought the matter to the notice of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
According to PCB official, David Dries Van’s entry into Pakistan has been banned. David Dries Van left for Johannesburg on March 30, 2004.
