Special court acquits three journalists
ISLAMABAD- The Special Court for anti-terrorism headed by Judge Manzoor Ahmed Mirza here on February 3rd, 2003 acquitted three journalists of a local weekly “Sunday Times”, facing charges of publishing Jewish conspiracy against the sacred Holy Kaba.
According to details, few months ago ‘Sunday Times’ published a report and a picture based from a website source highlighting a Jewish conspiracy and showed a picture of a air craft monitoring Holy Kaba.
On this, a citizen Saqib lodged a report with Margalla Police against the Chief Editor of weekly magazine Zafar Shahid, Editor, Naeem Mahboob and Co-ordinator, Sabir Bhatti for publishing the pictures and termed it anti-Islam tactics.
The defence council Basharatullah Khan Advocate was present on the occasion.
