Protest against US, UK killing of mediamen
SIALKOT- On the appeal of Sialkot Press Cub Sialkot and Sialkot Union of Journalists, Sialkot press photographers Association, Society of Newspapers Editors and Sialkot Editors Council, the journalists and Press photographers of Sialkot district staged a protest demonstration at Allama Iqbal Chowk against the brutal killings of foreign mediamen by American colossal bombing in Iraq here on April 15, 2003.
The protestants were holding different placards and chanted anti US and UK slogans.
Expressing grave concern over the brutal killings of foreign mediamen in Iraq, the protestants urged the UN to conduct a trial of US President George W. Bush and Tony Blair in “international Court of Justic” for killing the media persons in Iraq.
Sialkot journalists community also passed various condemnation and condolence resolutions, in this regard.
