No-trust move against nazim planned

LARKANA, June 19: Accusing Dokri Taluka Nazim Shafqat Unnar of massive corruption, nine of the 13 members of the Dokri taluka council have said that they will move a no-confidence motion against him.

Talking to journalists here on Tuesday, Taluka Naib Nazim Bashir Ahmed Junejo, Imdad Ali Joyo, Zarina Soomro and others alleged that the taluka nazim had got the record of accounts section of the taluka council burnt on Sunday night to conceal his corruption.

They said that since the inception of the council, the taluka nazim had been acting unilaterally like a typical landlord without taking the council members into confidence.

They alleged that the nazim had received Rs10 million kickback on a project of 71 shops, shown development works on papers and usurped funds for them.
