New Urdu Monthly
KARACHI- The first issue of Badalti Duniya, a monthly Urdu magazine dedicated to social investigation, has come out. Hidayat Hussain is the editor of the magazine.
The first issue is devoted to a study and analysis of feudal system and rural society in the country. The magazine will deal with those sectors of activity which directly affect the quality of life of the vast majority of people, such as education, public health, housing, sanitation, hygiene, etc. The magazine plans to give ample treatment to such issues as oppressive social structures, unemployment and mal-administration.
Dr Mubarak Ali, Dr Jaffer Ahmed, Prof Aijaz Qureshi, Saleem Shahid, Jam Saqi and others will be the contributors. Introductory presentation of the magazine will be held at the Arts Council on Sept 30.
Advocate Ali Amjad, Dr Hamza Alvi, Dr Jaffer Ahmed, Nabi Ahmed, Dr Abdul Malik, Prof Riaz Siddiqui and Rahim Bakhsh Azad will speak on the occasion
