Led by Hafiz Minhajud Din, Patron-in-Chief Lakki Marwat Press Club the protesters started a march from main lorry adda and converged at Kargil Chowk. They carried placards inscribed with slogans demanding provision of protection to the journalists and arrest of killers.

On the occasion, Hafiz Minhajud Din, Tehrik Tahaffuz Haqooq-e Marwat leader Haji Zarwali Khan Marwat and Jamil Haqdad Abadi said that targeting of journalists had become common in Pakistan especially in the militancy hit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
