Labour leader resents anti-Jang Group campaign

PESHAWAR: The All Pakistan Federation of Labour (APFL) has lashed out at the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership for levelling baseless allegations against media persons and the Jang Group.

President of the federation Aurangzeb Durrani expressed anger that unsubstantiated allegations were made against senior media persons who have fought against corruption and strived for the welfare of the society throughout their careers.

“Some ministers and leaders of the PPP are using abusive language against senior journalists and the Jang Group. If they did not stop the malicious campaign, we will launch protest movement against them all over the country,” Durrani warned. He said thousands of workers were employed by the Jang Group and the federation would raise voice for their rights. “We warn them to stop their campaign against the media that is exposing their corruption otherwise we will take to the streets in all the four provinces,” he stressed.
