Workers’ leader denounces tirade against Jang, Geo
LAHORE: Secretary General Wapda Central Hydroelectric Labour Union Khursheed Ahmed condemned the blackmailing and suppression of the journalists of Jang Group by the government functionaries.
He was speaking at a seminar Wednesday on information technology at the Bakhtiar Labour Hall. He said free media was the fourth pillar of the state and it was its duty to show the government its true face. He further said media was performing its duty within the boundaries of the constitution. Moreover, he said Geo TV, Jang and The News were performing their duty impartially and the union felt proud of this group. He said the union had established seven computer centres in different cities, where both and boys and girls could get free computer education.
