‘Beauty of Imagination’ attracts art lovers
ISLAMABAD: A photographic exhibition, depicting the glory of sunset by a new artist, Mona Fazal, was held at Rawalpindi Arts Council on Wednesday. The exhibition, titled ‘Beauty of Imagination’, classified into two sections – fantasy and reality. It was inaugurated by National Assembly member Tahira Aurangzeb, who was flanked by Naheed Manzoor and RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed. The exhibition is a collection of 53 photos that Mona has taken over the last five years in various popular locations around Multan. The display illustrated scenic beauty, the shades of evening, feelings like calmness and a ray of hope that clinches the mind and soul. Mona loves nature and presents literature through lens. After the inaugural ceremony, Tahira Aurangzeb said that Mona Fazal has tried to stop time to appreciate priceless master art pieces. “Artists’ approach towards the theme is constant and same feelings emerge in viewers’ mind and it seems that everything is going to be normalised with the passage of time,” she added. Naheed Manzoor congratulated Mona on conducting first solo exhibition and starting her career from RAC. Waqar Ahmed said the RAC is working for the promotion of art and culture through such exhibitions and events. The exhibition was attended by people from different walks of life, including students, actors, teachers and civil society members. The show is open until July 4.
