Action against EDO demanded: Leader of PPP Nawab Abdul Ghani Talpur, MNA, has appealed to the president to take notice of ‘illegal allotment of land by the EDO revenue, Jamshoro, to the Cadet College, Petaro.

In a letter addressed to the president, a copy of which was also faxed to Dawn, Mr Ghani said that the land, survey number 69 and 74 in deh Petaro Jageer, allotted to the college was originally owned by a villager, Mohammad Khan Khaskheli. He alleged that the EDO had illegally leased out the land without any lawful authority and added that he had also raised the issue on the floor of the National Assembly. Federal Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao had assured him on the assembly’s floor that he would take action but nothing had been done so far, he said.
