Wage board meeting held
LAHORE- The employer members of 7th Wage Board held an informal meeting with the chairman of the board, Justice (retd) Raja Afrasiab, Khan.
The newspaper employers showed complete faith in the efforts of Justice (retd) Afrasiab to resolve the outstanding issues between the parties. They also agreed to continue the dialogue in this regard and hold another unofficial meeting with Justice (retd) Afrasiab on November 30.
Speaking on the occasion, Justice (retd) Afrasiab said the government was fully aware of the problems being faced by the employers as well as employees and committed to help them reach a solution on controversial issues acceptable to both the parties.
Arif Nizami, Fasih lqbal and Dr Tanveer Ahmed, Executive Director, APNS, attended the meeting. Two other board members Hameed Haroon and Arshad Zubari could not attend the meeting for being out of the country.
