Two women killed over Karo-Kari
SUKKUR: Two women were among three people killed over Karo-Kari on Friday. Police said Azizullah Khoso shot dead his cousin Zahida Khoso in village Budhai Khoso in the limits of Moro and managed to escape.
Police said the deceased Zahida Khoso married her lover Habibullah against the will of her parents eight years earlier. Police said Habibullah’s parents, after interference of the elite of the community, had sent back Zahida to her parents on the condition that she would not be killed, but a cousin of the girl shot her dead and fled.
Police said they were carrying out raids to arrest the killer. Another case of killing over Karo-Kari was reported in the limits of Khairpur Nathan Shah, where a man Nazir Khoso shot dead the fiancé of his brother Seema Khoso and her paramour Majid Khoso, alleging that they were having illicit relations.
