Painting exhibition of Salman Farooqi opens today
New art season will start at the Revivers Galleria from Saturday evening with solo paintings exhibition of Karachi-based well-known artist Salman Farooqi. Titled “Reflection”, the art work display will continue for a fortnight till November 25. The gallery will remain open on Sunday, November 11, also for the benefit of the artists, art lovers and the art collectors.
On display in the exhibition will be 32 paintings almost all of, which have been done with acrylics on canvas by artist Salman Farooqi in attractive colours. Salman Farooqi is due to arrive here from Karachi especially for his solo paintings exhibition on Saturday morning, says a press release issued by the Gallery here on Friday.
Salman Farooqi, who has done four years diploma in Fine Art with distinction from Karachi School of Art, has participated more than 41 group shows within the country and number of foreign countries. This will be his 8th solo show since 2005 in Karachi and Lahore and first one at the Revivers Galleria.
Owner and curator of the Revivers Galleria Sara Anjum on being contacted expressed the confidence and hope that Salman Faooqi’s solo art show will also be a great success like the previous group and solo shows of prominent, well-known artists as well as young artists from different parts of the country.
