Three freed as girl denies kidnapping

HYDERABAD, June 23 2006: District and Sessions Judge on ordered the release of the accused imprisoned in the kidnapping case of Nayab Memon of Hala; district Matiari, after the girl recorded her statement that she was not kidnapped and left the home on her own. Nominated persons in the case, including Aachar Kumhan, Noor Mohammad, Pathani Kumhan, Shama Mochi, Mushtaq Ahmed, Zulfiqar Arbab and Amir Bux were ordered released after Nayab recorded her statement under section 164. DPO Matiari produced Nayab in the court where she stated before the judge that she was living with her husband after escaping from her home three years ago. She said the accused persons in the prison have nothing to do with kidnapping, as she was never kidnapped. The court allowed her to live freely with her husband and also ordered the release of all persons in the case of her kidnapping.

Earlier, Matiari police recovered the girl after three years of his apparent kidnapping from Nawabshah on the directives of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Nayab Memon, 18, resident of Hala town of District Matiari near Hyderabad was recovered on Wednesday night along with her 1 daughter as she tied knot with Allah Wadahyo Siyal in Nawabshah. Police said her father Abdul Rasheed Memon registered a case with Hala police under Zina/Hudood Ordinance. During the investigation, the Supreme Court of Pakistan took notice of the delay in the case process and directed the police officials for immediate recovery of Nayab Memon. Meanwhile, Nayab was also produced in the Supreme Court and its chief justice also al lowed her to live freely with he husband.
