The News, Jang and Geo receive greeting calls, SMS & e-mails
RWALPINDI: The offices of the Jang, The News and Geo started receiving a flow of phone calls, SMS and e-mails from the public after the consultation between PM Gilani and Chief Justice Chaudhry and the declaration of the acceptance of recommendations of the CJ on Wednesday.
While appreciating the role of Jang Group in their messages, the majority of people said Jang Group remained steadfast like before and the role it had played for the independence of the judiciary will never be forgotten.
It was the opinion of the people that such results could not be possible without struggle of the Jang Group for which the group had to undergo several hardships and the test was still going on.
Whatever was published in newspapers of the Jang Group and broadcast by Geo network upset the government which resorted to target it by levelling false allegations against it. But the Group could not be cowed down to give up its struggle for strengthening of independent judiciary. People, while expressing pleasure over the resolution of judges’ appointment issue, also prayed for Jang Group for remaining steadfast during the judicial crisis.
