Swat locals deprived of Internet facility

By: Harron Siraj

SWAT: The citizens of Swat have got deprived of Internet facility, as the Nawakaly Exchange, which has more than 3,500 DSL lines, has got some technical fault, causing disturbance in the said lines.

According to details, about 3,000 DSL lines are not working from last one day in Nawakaly Telephone exchange and as a result, customers facing numerous problems, it is pertinent to note that this is very busy Exchange which provides internet facility to several Army officials, government offices, many Media offices and private customers, but it is looking like an Orphan because no one is concerned with this issue & no officer is dealing it seriously in Nawakaly Exchange as this is an important link for many sectors through which they are connected with their head offices.

Last week Exchange was facing same problem where the customers were been cut off from the Internet facility for two days. Incharge DSL Swat SDO Abdul Salam said our correspondent that fault came in the main line and the concern team along with engineers is trying their best to solve the problems. The locals demanded from PTCL high Authorities that they should solve the Nawakaly Exchange DSL fault and should take a strong action on it. If the PTCL high authorities took keen interest in the above problems & consulted it regularly so the Nawakaly exchange would get perfect & it would solve other numerous problems as well.
