SunTV to carry STAR channels
KARACHI, July 19 2005: Dubai Marine Establishment (Pvt) Limited (DME), the exclusive distributor of STAR channels in Pakistan, and Southern Networks Limited (SunTV) announced on Monday that they have reached an agreement for the carriage of STAR channels on SunTV platform.
The agreement will bring an array of STAR’s popular channels covering a full range of genres to over 30,000 SunTV subscribers immediately.
SunTV is the first and only digital wireless MMDS television network in Pakistan and provides digital services in four cities – Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
This agreement is a milestone in Pakistan’s media history and is set to redefine benchmarks of digital entertainment, bringing a unique entertainment package for viewers in the country.
