Science media forum today
Islamabad–Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) will organize Science Media Forum to brief the journalists about achievements, ongoing activities of PSF and its subsidiary organizations, here on Thursday.
Chairman PSF will brief the media representatives, which will eventually help in the mass awareness about PSF activities.
Talking to APP Spokesperson PSF Rehana Batool said the main objective of the Science Media Forum is to provide a forum for scientists and media practitioners so that they can discuss and come up with suitable ways and means to popularize science through mass media.
Giving some details about PSF, spokesperson said PSF provides funding for research projects in the areas like agricultural sciences, biotechnological sciences, chemical sciences computer/Information Technology, Mathematical sciences, environmental sciences, engineering sciences, medical sciences and Physics.
Scientific research is also promoted through grant of institutional support to universities and research organizations for building up their research capabilities for purchase of equipment, chemicals and research material, she said.
