Cricket, hockey players to protest curb on Geo Super

RAWALPINDI: Players of cricket and hockey organizations, hailing from Rawalpindi and Islamabad, will hold demonstration against Pemra and the government here today (Friday) against curbs on Geo Super.

Announcing about the demonstration, Masood Anwar, Ustad Aziz, Zahir Shah, Iftikar Sain, Waseem Ahmad and Asif Bajwa said a number of clubs would participate in the demonstrations.

They include Zahir Shah Cricket Club, Haidary Club, New Pindi Gymkhana, Gul Club, West Indies, Kiwis Boys, Rainbow, Raja Club, Shaheen Club, Pakistan Club, Asghar Mall Club, Satellite Town Cricket Club, Bajwa Cricket Club, Greenland, Galaxy and Eleven Star Cricket Club. Rawalpindi Hockey Club, Satellite Hockey and Sawan Hockey Club would represent hockey clubs.

The players, clad in their sports uniform, will start their march from Rawalpindi Press Club and reach Al-Rehman Building at Murree Road at 5PM to stage demonstration and hold meeting.
