Saleem Safi seeks legal action against PTI leader Qasim Suri

Pakistan Press Foundation

ISLAMABAD-Journalist Saleem Safi on Thursday submitted an application with the FIA’s cybercrime wing requesting legal action against PTI leader Qasim Khan Suri for “uploading sexually explicit comments.”

Earlier in a tweet in Urdu, Safi alleged that the former deputy speaker of the National Assembly had abused his late parents. He added that he had taken the legal path instead of paying him back in the same coin.

In his brief application, Safi termed Suri’s comments as “violation of my privacy and intimidate me.”

In a tweet on December 28, Safi maintained that the PTI chief Imran Khan, whom he identified as murshid and his special follower (mureed) whom he did not name, should be put on no-fly list, saying an investigation would reveal their misdeeds during the government of PTI.

In response, Suri tweeted that investigation would reveal a “number of characters involved in the birth” of Safi and asked him to name people who should be put on the no-fly list.
