Aurakzai concerned over lady teachers’ killing

PESHAWAR, June 17 2006: NWFP Governor Lt Gen Ali Muhammad Jan Aurakzai (Retd) has expressed concern over the gruesome incident of killing two lady teachers and their two daughters in Aurakzai Agency on Thursday night and directed the political administration of the agency to make all out efforts to bring the culprits to justice. The governor said the killing of innocent women was a dastardly action, which could be performed by only those who had no regard for religion and devoid of moral character. These cruel persons deserve no mercy and must be dealt with severely, he said.

Lt Gen Ali Muhammad Jan Aurakzai (Retd) while conveying his deep sense of shock and sorrow over the brutal killing of the innocent persons has also expressed his sympathies and condolence with the bereaved families. He has also announced cash compensation of Rs one million to the legal heirs of the two bereaved families. He has prayed that Allah Almighty may give strength to the members of the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude and rest the departed souls in eternal peace.

Meanwhile, the governor talked to Syed Qalb-e-Hasan MPA and family heads of the deceased teachers and expressed deep sympathies with them over the gruesome murder of the women. The governor assured that the killers would be nabbed and awarded exemplary punishment under the law of the land.
