Railways restores 50 percent travel concession to journalists
ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Railways has decided to restore 50 percent concession on travelling tickets for journalists.
According to official sources here on April 16, 2003, a summary in this regard has been sent to the Ministry of Railways for approval.
Under the new decision, the railways would provide travelling tickets to journalists on 50 percent discount and issue special cards to them.
These cards to be renewed after every six months, will be issued by Director Public Relations Headquarters Railways.This concession will be available on tickets for first class and air-conditioned, the sources added.
The facility will not be available on Faisalabad Express, Karachi Express, Jaffar Express and Balochistan Express. It may be mentioned here that Railways had ceased this facility for the last few years.
