Radio Pakistan playing role in rescue operations
ISLAMABAD–Through its special transmission from its Flood Information Cell, Radio Pakistan is playing an effective role in the rescue of the people stranded by floodwater.
Radio Pakistan has been broadcasting special transmission since August 6 on its entertainment channel FM-101 throughout the country to pass on timely information regarding the flood situation and to generate donations for the flood affected people.
Live calls are being taken during this transmission on phone number 111-000-101. Listeners using mobile phones can call on phone number 447404.
People have been asked to get latest information about flood situation by calling at toll free number 0800-radio or 0800-72346.
