PTCL to introduce ‘UseNet’ service
ISLAMABAD,(APP): Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) will provide ‘usenet’ facilities to internet subscribers during the current year with the completion of internet expansion project.
Communications Minister Raja Nadir Pervaiz informed Senate on Friday that PTCL was providing internet access and e-mail in 14 cities including Quetta, Peshawar, Lahore and Karachi. He said usenet was not being provided currently.
He said in order to improve the services by removing the congestion from internet access and to wipe out the pending demand, PTCL had prepared an internet expansion project.
The first phase of the project, he said, also covers the four provincial capitals and it was likely to be completed during the current year.
