Police tear gassed, baton charged the protest rally

LARKANA – Police tear-gassed and baton charged the caravan of PPP activists led by the leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly and PPP leader Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Wednesday.

Several activists were arrested including MNA Shahid lqbal Memon and several local leaders and workers, MNAS, MPAs and local leaders were dispersed by heavy shelling.

According to details Police used tear gas to arrest more than 200 PPP and Awami Tehrik workers and baton charged the activists at Chakda Medical College Bridge Larkana, when PPP caravan led by Nisar Ahmed Khuhro was on way to Shaikh Zaid Chowk for protest demonstration.

The police blocked CMC Bridge and road leading to High Court. The police tried to disperse the PPP workers, when they were chanting slogans and heading towards the Shaikh Zaid Chojk. The police cordoned off the area and brutally dragged many people and an injured person Ali Jan was admitted in CMC Hospital.
