Pemra grants FM Radio license to Kinnaird College
ISLAMABAD, July 08 2005: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) on July 7 decided to grant specialised subject license of frequency modulation (FM) Radio to Kinnaird College Lahore for educational purpose. The 32nd meeting of the Pemra held here under Chairmanship of Pemra Chairman Iftikhar Rashid took the decision, says a press release.
The meeting also deliberated upon a number of issues regarding Electronic Media, Cable TV and grant of FM Radio Licenses of specialised subjects to Educational Institutions.
The authority also expressed satisfaction over the grant of 150 Cable TV Licenses for the last few months in the country. Besides Pemra Chairman Iftikhar Rashid, the meeting was attended by Syed Kamal Shah Secretary Interior, Shahid Rafi Secretary Information, Dr Seemi Naghmana Tahir Member Pemra, Colonel Abdur Rehman Member Pemra and Shahid Humayun Executive Member of the Authority.
