Journalist shot dead in Dergi
Dergi, July 08 2005: Gunmen ambushed a car carrying a local journalist, killing him and another person in the vehicle in a tribal town in the North West Frontier Province on July 5 (Tueday) night. a police official said.
However, the official said it was not clear who was behind late Tuesday’s killings of Ubaidullah Azhar and his friend Gul Wahid in Dargai.
Meanwhile, Javed Aziz Khan, president of a representative body of journalists in the area has condemned the killings, and demanded the immediate arrest of those who were behind the attack.
