No justice for journalist
WHY was a journalist abducted, tortured, threatened and humiliated? This is a question that has not been answered even after weeks since journalist Umar Cheema’s sad incident happened.
The CJ has taken suo motu notice but no arrests have been made to date.
Are we barbarians? Are we uncivilised? Whoever was behind this horrendous crime should be punished and brought to justice. I understand that our country is facing grave issues at the moment but we must not forget such an important issue.
The media and responsible citizens need to pursue this issue until the criminals are apprehended. We must not only do this in solidarity for Umar Cheema but for the greater cause of a free, independent but responsible media.
