Newspaper holidays
KARACHI- The member publications of All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) would observe closed holiday on December 25 on account of the birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and two closed holidays on account of Eid-ul-Fitr. This was stated by the APNS secretary-general, Arshad A. Zuberi, in a statement.
It said in view of the closed holiday on Dec 25, there would be no morningers on Dec 26 and the eveningers not appearing on Dec 25 may bring out their issues on Dec 26.
The statement added that in case Eid fell on Dec 27, the morning papers would not appear on Dec 28 and 29 and the eveningers would not appear on Dec 27 and 28. If Eid fell on Dec 28, the morningers would not appear on Dec 29 and 30 and the eveningers would not appear on Dec 28 and 29, it said.
