New crime unit on the cards

In the past, several units and jamming systems were introduced and now yet another unit is being established to curb street crimes. Prior to establishing this unit, the police chief should check the progress of the other units and cells, which were established in the past.
The general public did not want their cellphones jammed after being snatched but they wanted the criminals to be nabbed.
Several statements were issued by the Sindh police last year regarding the jamming system, but the system failed as the ratio of cellphone snatching cases continue to surge.
Some researchers said that if the city police really want to put an end to street crimes then it should ensure that police units patrol their respective areas on regular basis, which could help a great deal in controlling the crime rate.
