Murder of journalist condemned
NAWABSHAH- The local district council on October 30, 2002 unanimously approved a resolution condemning the murder of the Sindhi journalist from Kandhkot, Shahid Soomro.
The resolution called for immediate arrest of all the culprits involved in the murder of the journalist.
The district council session, which was presided over by Khalid Hussain Channa, was held here at the Pir Qurban Ali Hall.
The resolution was presented by the Nazim (Administrator) of Pir Zikiria union council, Syed Munir Shah.
The council members also called for shifting Shahid’s case to the special court besides provision of speedy justice to the bereaved family.
The members observed one-minute silence and offered Fateha for the slain journalist’s departed soul.
