Media useful source of feedback: PM
ISLAMABAD PPI: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has said the government welcomes criticism by the Media if the national interests are upheld and the code of conduct is folÂlowed in true spirit.
Talking to a representative delegation of Sindh media in Islamabad Monday he said the government considers the views, news and analysis by the media as a useful source of feedback.
He stressed that the media needs to watch the dignity and sanctity of state institutions. Shaukat Aziz said the govern merit will continue to facilitate the media.
Highlighting the next year’s budget, the Prime Minister said the government would ensure provision of essential commodities to the people at subsidized prices through six thousand Utility Stores to be opened in next four months.
He said the government has taken a number of steps for the development and prosperity of Sindh Province with focus on less developed areas.
The delegation appreciated the measures taken by the government in the budget for the proÂvision of high allocations for development, increase in salaries, subsidies in essential commodities and for the development of agriculture and the industrial sectors.
