Man kills wife for refusing to attend dance party
UMERKOT: A woman was killed by her husband for refusing to attend a party here on Saturday.
According to an FIR registered at Umerkot police station under Section 302 on the complaint of widow Imamzadi Bhutto of ward-311 Umerkot, Shahnaz Bano had married Raju Shah alias Raja, son of Misree Shah, in the court two years ago.
On Friday night, relatives of Shahnaz Bano came to meet her when Raju Shah and other family members had gone to attend a party at Faqir Babloo Rind guest house.
At midnight, Raju Shah returned and forced Shahnaz Bano to go with him to attend the dancing party, but she refused on the pretext that her relatives had come to meet her.
On her refusal, Raju Shah fired at her, killing her on the spot.
The body was handed over to her heirs after post-mortem. Umerkot police have arrested the accused.
