Khursheed assails Imran’s change in stance

SUKKUR: Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has said that there were days when Imran Khan wooed Geo television and Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry but now he was against both.

Talking to media at Sukkur Airport, Khursheed Shah asked the reason of Khan’s opposition to Geo Television.Shah stressed on the freedom of media, saying that ban on any channel was not a good practice.

Khursheed said that PTI chief Imran Khan had not contacted him about the May 11 sit-in and said that Imran would not contact PPP in this regard because there was a difference of political agenda of the PPP and PTI.

He advised Imran Khan to avoid from politics based on sit-ins. He said that a politician had to be upright and stand by his statements but Imran Khan was habitual to changing his statements. He said that MQM was now a part of Sindh government. He added that the governor of Sindh belonged to the MQM, so they refrained from protests and resolved the minor issues with talks.

Online adds: Syed Khursheed Shah said that his party would not participate in PTI protest against Nawaz government. He said MQM should cooperate with Sindh government to help resolve problems of the people.

Shah called for joint efforts by the ruling parties in Sindh to address the public issues. He said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was now a part of the Sindh government and every issue should be resolved with mutual understanding, adding that the MQM’s problems were their problems.
