ISLAMABAD (APP): The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) on Tuesday announced new rates for International Direct Dialling (IDD) that enables landline, PTCL calling cards and V customers to call a number of destinations worldwide just for one rupee per 30 seconds.

According to a press release issued here, following the launch of new corporate look and identity PTCL now comes up with a great offer to make its customers ‘feel the difference’ in its real sense. It said PTCL after its acquisition by Etisalat is going through a process of revamping and revolutionary steps are being taken to enhance its image as a customer-oriented service provider.

With the introduction of revised IDD rates the customers will now be able to call 21 destinations worldwide including England, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Greece, Norway, Holland, Spain, South Korea, Malaysia, Australia, USA, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Czech Republic, Guam, Luxemburg, Argentina and Panama.

It may also be noted here that IDD service is activated by default on all landline numbers and international calls can be made from any landline number just by dialling the country code and required number with its prefixed city code.

It said with these and a number of other upcoming initiatives PTCL expect to make telecommunication services more affordable and help its customers enjoy maximum benefits of technology advancements.
