IBM launches IT education centre
KARACHI- IBM has launched Advance Career Education (ACE) for IT education and training, which would become operational from January 20.
IBM would award certificates at the completion of the courses. The centre has been established in collaboration with Millennium Systems and Consultants Limited.
At present, Microsoft offers various certificate programmes, which enable students to get lucrative jobs. The courses offered by ACE include Basic IT, Core Programming, C++ Professional, Visual C++, Java, AS/400, System and Network Administration, Windows 2000 and Linux environment, Netizen and E-business Solutions.
At a press briefing managing director MSCL said IBM would provide course material, instructor training and certification while facility and structure would be arranged by MSCL. He said examinations would be conducted over the web and all the grading and marking would be carried out abroad.
