Hearing in Pearl case adjourned
HYDERABAD- Hearing in the Daniel Pearl kidnapping and murder case was adjourned to Saturday as Ahmed Saeed Sheikh, father of the principal accused, Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, did not appear in the court to depose as defence witness.
Senior defence lawyer, Abdul Waheed Katpar, produced a medical certificate and informed the judge that the witness was indisposed and unable to attend the court.
Rai Basheer Ahmed, the other defence lawyer of the co-accused, Salman Saqib, Fahad Naseem and Adil Sheikh, intends to produce some documentary evidence during Saturday’s proceedings.
On Thursday, Raoof Sheikh, maternal uncle of the principal accused, testified before the court as defence witness.
