Govt urged to recover missing journalist

A meeting held at Peshawar Press Club (PPC) and attended by the office-bearers of the PPC and the Khyber Union of Journalists (KhUJ) also made an appeal to the kidnappers to set Qalandar free on humanitarian grounds. An action committee was also set up to devise a strategy for the safe and early recovery of the journalist and his friend. Sohail Qalandar, resident editor of Daily Express, Peshawar, was kidnapped along with a friend, Niaz Mohammad, on January 2, the second day of Eid-ul-Azha, from the premises of Hayatabad police station.
