Gender in Journalism Awards moot
KARACHI- The Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) is holding the Gender in Journalism Awards ceremony at a local hotel on Saturday, April 26, 2003 between 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm.
The awards were established by the PPF with the support of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Dr. Saeeda Malik, Minister for Population Welfare and Women’s Affairs, Government of Sindh will preside over the ceremony and distribute the prizes.
Two print media journalists from Pakistan will receive the Awards. One award is for excellence in gender sensitive reporting. This award was open to both male and female journalists, aimed at recognizing model of excellence and best practices in coverage of gender related issues.
