CPNE assured of Aghaz’s share of ads

KARACHI – Salahuddin Haider, adviser on information to Sindh Governor assured the three-member delegation of Sindh Committee of the CPNE led by Mahmudul Aziz that Daily Aghaz would henceforth receive its due share of Sindh government advertising, in keeping with the policy of Sindh government.

The delegation of CPNE, beside Mahmudul Aziz, included Qazi Asad Abid and Dr Jabbar Khattak.

Salahuddin welcomed the delegation and stressed that Sindh information department seeks healthy working relationship with the newspapers in Karachi and Sindh.

He said that his only request to the newspapers as adviser on information was to give a fair treatment to the coverage in the news columns of the activities of the parties that comprise the coalition in Sindh government.

The CPNE delegation said that it was the avowed policy of CPNE that news coverage given to different political parties and functionaries should be fair and impartial, because newspapers generally keep away from partisan attitude.

The CPNE editors and members were equally keen that every effort is aimed at promoting peace and harmony in Karachi and Sindh, and news at the national level must be highlighted and supported.

It was in this framework that misperceptions occurred in the case of Aghaz newspaper, and it should not be subjected to cutting off advertisement by Sindh government.
