Couple declared Karo, Kari
SUKKUR: The lives of a boy and a girl who eloped three days back and married of their own will are in danger as they have been declared Karo and a Kari by a meeting of the Abro community.
The couple, Jamila and Insaf, went to the house of an influential person in the Roshan Abad village near Kandhra, Sukkur, on March 24, but he refused to provide them with protection on their request.
Meanwhile, the Abro community at a meeting allegedly ordered the killing of the couple after declaring them Karo and Kari. Sources said the mother of the girl was also accompanying the couple.
It is said that the father of the girl married another woman a couple of months back which infuriated his first wife and daughter.
