Case registered against woman for abortion

Karachi:A man registered a case against his wife for having an abortion. A case was reported at the Defense police station of Isqat-i-Janian.

Umer Farooq, a resident of fifth South Street, Phase-II, DHA, said that a few years ago he married Kosh Bakht Omer. Previously during their wedlock, she gave birth to twin girls and was pregnant once again.

However, due to a quarrel, she left the house and started residing with her friend Ms Noor in the Defense area, said the police. After a few months, it came to his notice that his wife had an abortion with the connivance of Ms Noor from a clinic in Defense. After verifying the facts, he came to the police station and registered his complaint. The police registered a FIR and referred the case to the investigation police.
