Cable operators criticise Capital Development Authority’s (CDAs) action
ISLAMABAD- Cable operators have strongly criticised Capital Development Authority (CDA) for cutting cable transmission lines in the Federal Capital without serving any notice on them. They said that their business is not illegal and they enjoy Government’s patronage in cable network operation. They also rejected the charges that cable service is spreading obscenity in the society.
They said that the CDA action caused them huge losses. It was not humanly possible for them to lay underground cable wires throughout Islamabad in a short span of time, they said. However, the Authority on its part said that it had served notices on the cable operators to bury their wires under ground, which they did not.
