Barber’s shop blown up, another bomb defused in Swat

SWAT: Unknown miscreants on Thursday blew up a barber shop owned by two brothers in the area of Madan Dir in Swat district.

Two bomb explosions occurred in the area of Swat that destroyed a barber shop owned by two brothers Karim Ullah and Hazrat Ullah, while windowpanes of 14 other shops were completely broken.

As soon as the explosions were heard, people came out of their houses in panic. Terror gripped the entire area on Thursday morning.

On the other hand, following the regular bomb blasts in CD centres in various areas of the province, owners of CD centres have decided to wind up their business. The owners were of the view that they wanted the maintenance of law and order in the area, adding that as the bomb blasts in CD shops were disturbing the peaceful environment of the district they have decided to end the business voluntarily.

Meanwhile, the bomb disposal squad defused a bomb planted outside a store in the main Chowk of Thana town in Malakand Agency. Official sources said the bomb disposal squad was informed about the explosive device planted outside the store. The squad defused the device.
