Arrests of newsmen deplored
HYDERABAD- The members of the Sindh Journalists Organization (SJO) observed a token hunger strike outside the press club here on February 6, 2003.
They were protesting against the arrest of Awami Awaz Jati reporter Dildar Samijo and New Saeedabad reporter Sohbat Oad, and registration of a false case against Kawish representatives Zahid Soomro.
They threatened to enlarge the scope if their protest if the journalists were not released and the false cases against them were not withdrawn.
