APNA Channel’s Pakistan Broadcasters Association membership terminated

KARACHI: The Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) has terminated the membership of APNA channel, according to a press release.

The association revoked APNA channel’s PBA membership by a majority of 13 to one during the meeting of its board of directors held on Sunday, the press release revealed. Following the decision, APNA Channel’s representative Sarfaraz Shah has also been removed from PBA’s board of directors.

The meeting was attended by board members Muhammad Aslam Kazi (KTN), Shakeel Masud Hussain (Dawn News), Arshad A Zubari (Aaj TV), Tahir A Khan (TV One), and Duraid Qureshi (HUM TV), Zaheeruddin Khan (Geo TV), Sultan Ali Lakhani (Express News), Saleem Adil (CNBC), Haji Muhammad Iqbal (ARY), Jergees Seja (ARY), Kamran Wajih (PTV), Maqsood Hasan (Dhoom TV), Sher Asfand Yar Khan (FM-107), Mehdi Raza (FM-107), Shazya Amin (FM-91) and Obaidur Rahman (FM-89).
